About the Project

Shoulder to Shoulder: Cohesive Communities is a national project created to unite partner territorial communities (from the rear and central areas) with frontline communities (located near the front lines and borders).

Project aim

To support and restore the infrastructure of frontline communities, ensure their functionality, and strengthen the unity of the country.

Unity of Territorial Communities

Communities work in pairs: they unite based on criteria of similarity (population, type, and economic profile) as well as optimal logistics. This approach fosters effective cooperation.

How do communities support frontline communities?

Formation of recovey teams for works/services and carrying out ongoing repairs

Support for children from frontline communities: nationwide school leagues, children's camps, health recovery and rehabilitation programs

Cultural, educational, and sports events to strengthen social ties and engage youth

Material and technical assistance

Humanitarian aid

Solidarity participation of parties in financing projects

Financing:

The project is supported by funds of the state budget, local community budgets, and donors, including international organizations and businesses.

The «Shoulder to Shoulder: Cohesive Communities» project is not just a response to the challenges of war but also a crucial step towards building a united and resilient nation. Through joint efforts, Ukraine’s territorial communities are demonstrating unity, mutual support, and solidarity which are the key to our victory.
