On December 18-19, in Poltava, communities participating in the project “Side by Side: United Communities” got to know each other, shared their experiences and worked fruitfully together within the “Space of Unity”. The event was attended by representatives of communities from Chernihiv, Poltava, Kyiv, Kharkiv and Donetsk regions. The event was also attended by Deputy Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Ryabykin.

Since the full-scale invasion, Poltava has sheltered almost 50,000 Ukrainians who were forced to leave their homes due to Russian aggression. Veteran policy is also actively implemented here, and assistance and support for our veterans is being formed. Poltava is an example of a strong rear partner community that helps those who need it most every day.

Participants of the “Space of Unity” had a unique opportunity to present successful cases of cooperation in the “Side by Side” project. Also, together, as a team of like-minded people, they searched for and found solutions to pressing problems.
After completion, everyone received certificates of participants of the “Space of Unity”.

The “Side by Side: United Communities” project is, first and foremost, Ukrainians with a big heart and soul, ready to lend a helping hand, advise and prove that together, together, any challenges can be overcome.

The interaction workshop, which was successfully implemented by the “Space of Unity”, once again proved that the most valuable resource is people and their desire not to be on the sidelines, to lend a shoulder of support despite hundreds of kilometers of distance. Our strength is in unity!
The event was organized at the initiative of the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine together with UNDP Ukraine in Ukraine within the framework of the flagship partnership with the European Union (EU) “EU4Recovery – Empowering Communities in Ukraine”.
