As part of the initiative “Side by Side: United Communities” in the Rivne region, schoolchildren from Zaporizhzhia region are getting healthy — a region that lives under the threat of shelling every day.
The rear community invited 50 children to one of the region’s sanatoriums to give them the opportunity to change the atmosphere of war for rest, movement, and new experiences, at least for a while.
One of the days of the program was sports. It was conducted by specialists from the regional physical health center “Sport for All.”
There was a lot of movement, laughter, and team support. The kids didn’t compete for records, but sincerely rejoiced at each other’s victories.
In addition to sports, an introduction to Rivne was organized for the guests. The guests walked around the city, visited a museum, and rested in a cafe.
A few days of peace, new emotions, and experiences — this should be a real childhood, which the enemy is depriving our children of.
Last year, nearly 600 children from frontline communities in Ukraine were treated in the Rivne region. And this work continues.
