When communities become points of support and volunteering becomes part of the culture, something is born that has the power to keep the country going in the most difficult times. These are the shared values of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities” and the public organization Building Ukraine Together – BUR. United by the belief that the restoration of the state begins with human trust, unity, and participation, we have taken another step forward by signing a Memorandum of Cooperation.
Our partnership is not about the future, but about what we have already done together. These are community work days in courtyards, where local residents work together to restore spaces. These are educational events where young people learn to cooperate and take responsibility. These are volunteer campaigns that bring the country together where support is needed. BUR has been shaping a culture of mutual assistance in communities for over 10 years, and Side by Side is a platform that strengthens local leadership, provides tools for development, and brings solidarity to the level of national policy.
Together, we do more than just repair fences or paint walls. We are creating a new quality of community — where everyone feels important, where revival begins with mutual support. It is about rebuilding dignity, not just infrastructure. It is about communities that do not wait, but act. It is about people who are not indifferent, but united by a common goal — a strong, vibrant country.
There are many joint initiatives ahead. We plan to scale up volunteer camps, launch educational and cultural programs, and develop youth leadership. In each of these areas, there is room for a community that is capable of creating. And together, we are already creating a platform where solutions, initiatives, and influence are born.
Because a country where communities work side by side with volunteers is a country that cannot be broken.
