Communities, outposts, and partners gathered to exchange experiences and see examples of successful projects that have already been implemented.

On June 13, a dialogue meeting entitled “The Life of Ukrainian Communities During Wartime: Challenges and Solutions” was held in Zviahel.

They discussed international cooperation, veteran policy, and why it is important to involve residents in important decisions. They discussed effective practices for IDPs, as well as security issues during enemy attacks.

The signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation was important for the Zviahel community in Zhytomyr Oblast and the Zdolbuniv community in Rivne Oblast.

The event was attended by communities from Kharkiv and Kherson regions, partners from Prykarpattia, and representatives of the Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine.

The Zviahel community also presented initiatives that are already working successfully: the Action Center, the Center for Comprehensive Rehabilitation of Children with Disabilities, the rehabilitation department of a multidisciplinary hospital, the Dolphin Child Development Center, and a dormitory for IDPs, which has become a temporary shelter for 47 families.

Such meetings and exchanges of experience are important. They provide impetus for the development of joint projects and cooperation between partner communities of the Side by Side project.
