Culture and care unite communities

In different cities of Ukraine, culture is becoming a space of support and unity for people who were forced to leave their homes due to the war.
The performance “The Little Mermaid” was held in the People’s House of the city of Sheptytskyi, which gathered a full audience. Among them were families from the Donetsk region who now live in the community and joined the event thanks to the initiative “Side by Side: United Communities”.

A large-scale production with dozens of stage characters, modern decorations and effects created an immersive atmosphere in which children and adults could forget about the war for a few hours and feel like part of the community.
Cultural events as a form of support are also practiced in other communities. Chasovoy Yar MVA and Kremenchuk. Officially cooperated since 2026. But in Kremenchuk they already managed to give a New Year’s miracle to a family from Chasovoy Yar, who is under guardianship.
The family received tickets to an ice show. For the children, it was a real holiday — with emotions, smiles, and the feeling that there are people nearby who care.

In parallel, the communities are building long-term cooperation in the field of education. Preschool education institutions in Chasovy Yar and Kremenchuk have begun working together, laying the foundation for a partnership aimed at the development, safety, and support of children.
