Two frontline communities of Kherson region – “Beryslav City Council” and Tyahyn Rural Military Administration – received armored vehicles of the fourth protection class for the evacuation of the civilian population.
These settlements are being attacked by Russian troops especially brutally. Evacuations here often take place under artillery fire and drone attacks. Under such conditions, protected vehicles are not a luxury, but a real chance to save lives.
The vehicles were purchased within the framework of the project “Side by Side: United Communities”. Temporarily occupied communities of Kherson region – Kakhovka City Territorial Community and Novotroitsk Village Military Administration of Genichesk District – allocated more than 17.7 million hryvnias in subvention for this.
In the deoccupied part of the region, emergency medical crews make about 200 trips every day. Most of them are in a constant danger zone. Every protected car means more chances to reach people and return.
