Gifts for children from frontline communities

Christmas holidays are an unforgettable time of children’s joy. Due to Russian aggression, thousands of Ukrainian children are forced to hide from enemy shelling or leave their homes instead of celebrating. Despite the horrors of today, Ukrainian children deserve happy holidays, especially children from frontline and temporarily occupied territories. Communities in the project “Side by Side: United Communities” joined forces to please such children with pleasant surprises.

  • For the Christmas holidays, children from the Dolynsk rural territorial community of Zaporizhia region, whose parents gave their lives for Ukraine or are in captivity, received gifts and drawings from their peers from the Rayhorodotsk Village Council of Zhytomyr region.
  • Haisyn City Council Official Page, Kryzhopil Village Council Official Page and Murovanokurylovetska community of Vinnytsia joined forces and sent over 250 gifts to children of the Genichesk City Military Administration of the Kherson region.
  • Preschoolers of the Magdalinivska community of the Dnipropetrovsk region received sweets, books, sets for creativity, educational games, stationery and other gifts from St. Nicholas thanks to the Shepetivska City Council of the Khmelnytskyi region.
  • Children of the Kostyantynivska City Military Administration, temporarily staying in Zaporizhzhia, received sweet gifts and stationery from their own community and also from the partner Dmytrivska Village Council of the Kyiv region.
  • St. Nicholas greeted the little ones from the Tavriyska AH of the Kherson region. Residents of the Petrivska Village Council of the Kirovohrad region helped him collect tasty and interesting gifts.
Of course, gifts make children happy and smile. But the real feeling of happiness comes from the unity and care that fills the hearts of united Ukrainians. Thank you to everyone who cares about the well-being of Ukrainian children today.
