Children from the Executive Committee of the Pokrovska City Council, located in the Dnipropetrovsk region, received school supplies from Volodymyr-Volynskyi in the new school year. This community became a partner for Pokrov within the framework of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities”.
Through the joint efforts of philanthropists and caring residents, the Volodymyr-Volynskyi community managed to collect aid for 80 children from privileged categories from Pokrov. Notebooks, backpacks, pens and pencils – all these seem like ordinary things, but in such conditions they have a special value. This is a sign of care and belief that childhood should continue, even when there is war nearby.
This is not the first time that the Volodymyr-Volynskyi community has been near Pokrov. At the end of summer, 15 schoolchildren from a front-line city rested here. For them, it was a time of peace, new friends and simple joys that charge them for the school year.
When communities stand side by side, even small steps become big things.
