Tyahynsk territorial community – the official community of Kherson region was occupied by Russian troops at the beginning of the full-scale invasion. The horrors of the occupation continued until November 2022, when the community was liberated as a result of a counteroffensive by the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
The enemy was pushed back, but the Russians continue to shell the community. Infrastructure and civilian buildings require constant restoration.
The Peremyshlyan City Council of Lviv region is a partner of Tyahynsk in the national project “Shoulder-to-Shoulder: United Communities”. The mayor of Peremyshlyan and his deputy came to the Tyahynsk community to discuss plans for further reconstruction and restoration of the community after the occupation and shelling by Russian troops.
The tree saplings brought with them by representatives of the Peremyshlyan community became a symbol of friendship and fruitful cooperation. They will be dropped off near the “Memorial Sign to the Third Anniversary of the Deoccupation of the Tyahyn Community” and near the “Cross of Remembrance.”
In times of war, it is extremely important to feel supported. Partnership between communities proves that no one is left alone with trouble. United, together we will stand!
