There are two Zolochivs in Ukraine. One is in the border region of Kharkiv Oblast, under daily shelling.
The other is in Lviv region. It is from here, from the west of the country, that the Zolochiv community donated a generator to one of the villages in the outpost community as part of the Side by Side: United Communities initiative.
It is already operating in the Odnorobivskyi starosta district.
Due to shelling, people there are often left without water and electricity. The equipment will help to restore the water supply and carry out necessary repairs.
Along with the equipment, the community is also receiving humanitarian aid:
– food and vegetable sets
– fresh bread
– drinking water
Charitable organizations and local activists have joined in to help. In dangerous conditions, unloading is carried out quickly and smoothly — because there is no time to delay.
Zolochivshchyna in the Kharkiv region is one of the few border communities that the enemy failed to capture in 2022. However, shelling continues: KABs, Grads, drones.
Half of the residential buildings are damaged or destroyed, and some schools and clinics lie in ruins.
And yet, the community is holding on. This is not least thanks to the community of the same name, whose residents founded the settlement in the Kharkiv region. Today, the historical connection has turned into a living partnership.
