A charity football tournament, Bukovyna Cup 2026, was held in Chernivtsi among teams born in 2011.
Frontline Zaporizhzhia was represented at the competition by 18 students of the SC “Metallurg” U-15 football school.
Support for the boys was provided by the Chernivtsi City Council within the framework of the initiative “Side by Side: United Communities”. Partners provided accommodation and meals for athletes and coaches. All conditions were created for the guests so that the team could fully concentrate on the game.
10 teams from different regions of Ukraine took part in the tournament. Young Zaporizhzhia players showed character and a well-coordinated team game. Therefore, they deservedly won the silver medals of the tournament.
For many boys, the competition became an important experience, new acquaintances and an opportunity to represent their city at a major tournament.
