On October 10, the forum “Let’s Rebuild Together. Southern Vector” was held in Odessa with the support of the Kherson Regional State Administration, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, and the Regional Development Agency “Office for European Integration” of the Kherson region. Representatives of state authorities, local governments, international organizations, donor structures, business, and civil society participated in the event. The event was hosted by the Ambassador of the “Side by Side: United Communities” project Yegor Gordeev.
During the forum, key issues of the reconstruction of Southern Ukraine were discussed: community partnership, development of the region’s potential, technical and logistical support of frontline territories, restoration and modernization of life support systems, and other important areas of interaction.
At the panel discussion, speakers repeatedly noted the importance and relevance of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities” for the southern regions of the country.
One of the key events was the conclusion of memorandums of cooperation within the 4th wave of the project. The partners were:
- “Beryslav City Council” (Kherson region) and Voznesensk urban territorial community (Mykolaiv region)
- Velykopaniv rural territorial community (Kherson region) and Voznesensk urban territorial community (Mykolaiv region)
- Verkhnyorohachyk Settlement Council Verkhny Rohachyk (Kherson region) and Oknyansk settlement territorial community (Odesa region)
- Gornostayiv settlement territorial community (Kherson region) and Avangardivsk settlement council (Odesa region)
- Lazurnensk settlement territorial community (Kherson region) and Snigurivska AH (Mykolaiv region)
Cooperation between communities is an example of unity, mutual support and a common desire to restore the country.
