Vacation for families from Balakliya in Vinnytsia region

As part of the Side by Side: cohesive community project, Vinnytsia City Council helped organize a vacation at a camp for 37 residents of Balakliya City Council

Fourteen families, consisting of mothers with children, spent their vacation at the camp. They lived in tents surrounded by nature and had the opportunity to receive psychological support, attend group classes, master classes, and art therapy, as well as participate in sports games, kayaking, and excursions. The main goal of the program is to help families overcome the effects of traumatic events, feel safe, and restore their inner strength.

Alongside camp life, cultural and environmental projects are also being implemented. A sculpture workshop was held next to the camp with the participation of artists from Vinnytsia and Lviv regions. Right there in the forest, they created sandstone sculptures of birds—symbols of freedom, strength, and rebirth. These works will eventually become part of a new cultural and environmental park. In the middle of the forest, they created sandstone sculptures of birds—symbols of freedom, strength, and rebirth. These works will eventually become part of a new cultural and environmental space—an ornithological observatory that is being set up at the camp with the support of international partners.
