The Russian aggression brought many challenges to the Dar’ivska village council of the Kherson region. These are destroyed roads, damaged houses and infrastructure, broken connections between villages. In such conditions, the most difficult thing is for people with disabilities, pensioners, families with children, displaced persons and all those who cannot get to the hospital or social services on their own.
To solve this problem, the Dar’ivska community urgently needed to purchase a “social taxi. This is a specialized car that will help those who need it most.
The partner in the project “Side by Side: United Communities” Nizhnyosirohozka community did not stay aside and transferred 3 million hryvnias from its own budget to the Dar’ivska community. These funds will go to purchase a car equipped with a hydraulic lift, a wheelchair fixation system and places for accompanying persons.
The communities of the indomitable Kherson region stand side by side, helping each other and together making people’s lives a little easier even in the most difficult times.
