Unforgettable leisure for children from outpost communities

The national project “Side by Side” continues to expand cooperation between participating communities in the direction of recreation and health improvement of children from frontline territories. These children have experienced the horrors of Russian aggression, so caring for them is an extremely important priority. Here are some examples of such a necessary initiative now.

  • Dolyna – city council / Dolyna City Council, located in the Frankivsk region, hosted children from the Vilnia City Council of the Zaporizhia region. Schoolchildren, who have been living and studying under the sounds of enemy shelling for the fourth year, visited the local history museum, libraries, took part in master classes and visited the local Center for Children and Youth Creativity.
  • Stepankivsk rural territorial community of Cherkasy region organized a visit to the cherished tract “Shaeva Gora” for children and adults from the Bilolutsk settlement military administration of the Luhansk region. A trip along the picturesque trails of “Shaeva Gora” is an opportunity for a reboot, moral and spiritual rest alone with nature.
  • For children from Soledarsk City Council, located in the Donetsk region, the hospitable Drohobych City Council of the Lviv region met. The guests climbed Drohobych Mountain to see the city from a bird’s eye view, visited Drohobych Town Hall and the Church of St. George, which is a UNESCO heritage site, as well as the resort town of Truskavets.
Ukrainian children are our future, they deserve a happy and carefree childhood. We thank everyone who is shoulder to shoulder in this extremely important initiative.
