Darivska village council of Kherson region, after its liberation from the occupiers on November 11, 2022, is under constant fire from Russian troops. Residents are forced to take refuge in shelters, access to which is not always convenient for citizens with limited mobility.
The Rozsoshanska village council of Khmelnytskyi region, which is a partner of Darivska in the project “Side by Side: United Communities”, did not remain aloof from solving this problem. From its budget, the Rozsoshanska community allocated 300 thousand hryvnias for the purchase and installation of three electric wheelchair lifts in the shelters of educational and healthcare institutions of the Darivska community.
Thus, citizens of the Darivska community will receive barrier-free access to a safe space, regardless of their physical abilities. Once again, the unity of Ukrainians helps to overcome challenges and solve problems.
