Children from frontline communities received gifts from Saint Nicholas

The russian occupiers shell and destroy civilian Ukrainian cities and villages every day, turning people’s lives into survival. What can we say about Ukrainian children from frontline territories, who instead of studying and the joys of childhood hear explosions and alarm signals. They deserve attention and support more than anyone else, especially on St. Nicholas Day.

The communities participating in the national project “Side by Side: United Communities” made efforts to ensure that such children could at least for a while feel the magic of the New Year holidays.

Thus, children from Soledarsk City Council visited the residence of Saint Nicholas in the Bilogorodsk Village Council, which is in the Kyiv region. There, they were entertained by animators, captivated by interactive activities, festive music sounded, photo zones cheered up, and, of course, Saint Nicholas himself met them. He did not leave the children without attention and gifts.
And to the children of the Shyrokivska community of Mykolaiv region, gifts from St. Nicholas were delivered by representatives of the partner Oleksandrivska village council of Kropyvnytskyi district of Kirovohrad region. Chocolates, candy bars, cookies and other goodies delighted the little ones. But more than sweets, the attention and support of caring people who, despite hundreds of kilometers, are always ready to lend a helping hand and make children happy.
