Chornobayivka visits Chornobayivka: partners give children new experiences

Children from the Chornobayivka outpost community visited the namesake community from Cherkasy region.

The recreation program was rich: they rested, learned, and received new emotions.

During the interactive quest, participants recognized locations from photo fragments and found them in real space. The route ran through important community centers – a lyceum, a public library, a music school, and a social services center. They had fun and got to know the life of the community better.

During the training block, children learned the basics of drone control and handling equipment. They also learned how to stop bleeding with a tourniquet.

They also tried themselves as journalists: in the radio editorial office they learned how to create short reports, learned how to formulate questions and work with information. And even conducted an interview!

Thus, the partner community gave children from the front-line Chornobayvka a few days of a real childhood, not overshadowed by war. This is not the first time that similar events have been held within the framework of the project “Side by Side: United Communities”. And they are already planning the next ones.
