The Konotop outpost community suffers from Russian shelling every day. Constant air raids, strikes on energy infrastructure, power and heat outages – all this has become part of a reality that is impossible to get used to. But even in such conditions, the community holds on and continues to live, teaching children, helping each other, maintaining resilience and indomitability.
A powerful step of support was the joint actions of the partner communities of the “Side by Side” project from Dubny and Kamianets-Podilskyi. The Dubny community transferred three charging stations and fifteen diesel heaters to Konotop. All this was personally delivered by the Dubny mayor.
The Kamianets-Podilskyi City Council provided 1.2 million hryvnias for the purchase of building materials to repair the school roof, as well as five more autonomous heaters, which were also personally delivered to Konotop by the Kamianets-Podilskyi mayor.
Thanks to the support of partners, light and warmth will once again appear in schools and homes. Children will be able to study without the cold, and families will once again feel the warmth and comfort that is so lacking in wartime.
The Konotop community is sincerely grateful to its partners for the support that gives them the strength to move forward. Because the true solidarity of those who stand side by side is inspiring.
