The Bochechkivska rural territorial community of Sumy region received a new school bus. This is an important event for the local educational community and another step towards creating a barrier-free educational environment.
The purchase of the bus was made possible thanks to a combination of state subvention, local budget funds and co-financing from the partner community, the Palanska community of the Cherkasy district of the Cherkasy region. Cooperation between the communities is implemented within the second wave of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities”.
This is the first bus in the community equipped with seats for children with disabilities. It meets all safety requirements, has comfortable seats, belts, a heating and ventilation system, which will ensure comfortable transportation of schoolchildren at any time of the year.
Such initiatives contribute to equal access to quality education. We thank everyone who joined the implementation of the initiative. Together, we create conditions in which every child can study safely, comfortably and with confidence in the future.
