Shostka schoolchildren in the Lviv region

For two weeks, the Zubryansk secondary school of grades I-III and families from the village of Zubra, the Solonkiv territorial community of the Lviv region, hosted children from the front-line Sumy region. Schoolchildren from Shostka came here as part of the project “Side by Side: United Communities”. This is the second visit to the Solonkiv community.

The first guests were young artists from the art school, and now lyceum students had the opportunity to come.
Together with new friends, the children from Shostka traveled the Carpathians, got acquainted with the literary heritage of Ivan Franko, discovered the world of science and history, and left drawings of friendship on the walls of the lyceum. There were karting races, walks through the streets of Lviv, and many other impressions that will remain in the memory with unforgettable warm memories.

The end of this trip was a farewell concert in the People’s House of the village. Zubra, where songs, thanks and plans for future meetings were heard. The atmosphere was truly sincere, friendly and family-like.

A big thank you to the families from Zubra who opened their homes to guests. The strength of Ukraine is in the mutual support and solidarity that unites communities from different parts of the country.
