The exhibition “The Sorrowful Path of Bakhmut” was opened in Hostomel

In Hostomel, as part of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities”, the exhibition “The Sorrowful Path of Bakhmut” was opened, which tells the story of the city’s fate through art and personal stories.

This is a story that is difficult to watch, but impossible not to feel. It is symbolic that the exhibition was presented in Hostomel, which was destroyed by the actions of the Russian occupiers.

At the center of the exposition are unique carvings on the shell of an ostrich egg.

They tell the story of the path of Jesus Christ. But at the same time, they draw a parallel with the modern history of Bakhmut – a city going through destruction and struggle.

The exhibition is complemented by photographs showing Bakhmut in different periods: Bakhmut before the war, Bakhmut under shelling, and Bakhmut, as it will become again. This composition is designed to record the memory of the city and emphasize faith in its revival.

In the master classes, children and adults created Easter symbols together, painted eggs, and decorated the tree of life.

The exhibition is a symbol of the fact that after darkness there will definitely be light.

The exhibition will last for a month and is open to visitors.
