The pupils of the powerlifting department of the Complex Youth Sports School No. 1 of the Bakhmut City Council today live in different cities of Ukraine. The geography has changed, but the team has remained.
As part of cooperation in the “Side by Side” initiative, the Kropyvnytsky City Council has become a place for athletes from Bakhmut to fully train and prepare for the main starts of the season.
The base for the training camp was provided by the Powerlifting Federation of the Kirovohrad Region. Bakhmut athletes were given the opportunity to train for free and keep their team.
At the Kropyvnytsky Youth Sports School “Zirochka”, Bakhmut residents, together with the hosts, prepared for the Ukrainian championship among all age groups.
The results are impressive:
Eight gold medals,
Ten bronze awards,
The right to participate in international competitions in 2026,
The standard of the Master of Sports of Ukraine has been met.
Ahead are new championships of Ukraine and Europe. Preparations are ongoing.
