A meeting was held in Mykolaiv within the framework of the third wave of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities”. Thanks to this initiative, the communities of Mykolaiv region found partners in different regions of Ukraine.
At the first stages of the project, the communities of the region signed more than 20 memorandums of cooperation. This has already yielded concrete results: infrastructure restoration, humanitarian aid, cultural and educational events. Special attention was paid to children. They organized health and recreation, sports and educational programs for them.
The third wave of the project started in the summer. Another 10 communities of Mykolaiv region and 19 communities from Ivano-Frankivsk, Poltava, Kirovohrad, Rivne, Ternopil, Lviv, Cherkasy, Volyn and Vinnytsia regions joined the partnership.
Of the 19 agreed upon, 10 memorandums have already been signed, and three more were added today:
- between the Novoodeska City Council and the Skalatska City Council of the Ternopil region and the Drohobych City Council of the Lviv region;
- between the Snigurivska AH of the Mykolaiv region and the Bekhterska community of the Kherson region, which is currently under temporary occupation.
