In times of war, the real value is not words, but people who stand side by side, helping and supporting.
This is exactly about the Sofiivska and Pidloztsivska communities.
Their cooperation began within the framework of the initiative “Side by Side: United Communities” – and has already grown into a true friendship.
Recently, partners from the Rivne region again visited the front-line Zaporizhzhia, where residents of the Sofiivska community now live.
They did not come empty-handed. They brought clothes for children and adults, food and basic necessities.
Such help is supposedly ordinary, but it is important here and now for families who have lost their homes and are starting life anew.
And a special gift is a handmade towel. In which the warmth of the hands and the love of the craftswoman are contained.
In response, the people of Sofia handed over a sleeve with the names of two communities.
One symbol is about life and roots.
The other is about war and struggle.
And together – about unity.
This is not the first visit of the partners. And each time – it is sincere and warm meetings and support for people who have gone through occupation, losses and constant shelling.
