Thanks to cooperation within the framework of the project “Side by Side: United Communities”, equipment from the Siverska community is now working in the Onokivska community in Transcarpathia.
Instead of gathering dust in warehouses, sewing machines and computer equipment evacuated in 2022 have been given a new life. The “Magic Thread” sewing club has recently opened in the village of Kamianytsia.
Here, children sit down at sewing machines for the first time, learn to make even seams, choose fabrics, and create their first products. They are already sewing Ukrainian flags and stage costumes.
In the future, they plan to master the production of both simple household items and exquisite accessories.
And computer equipment is used to teach schoolchildren.
