War takes away home. But it should not take away hope and the feeling that you are not alone.
As part of the initiative “Side by Side: United Communities”, cooperation between the communities of Chasovoy Yar and Uman continues.
Currently, 22 residents of the Chasovoy Yar community live in Uman, in the Veterans’ House. These are people who lost their homes and often their usual circle of support due to the war. But they were not left alone.
Thanks to the decision of the city authorities, people received a roof over their heads and safe conditions. And thanks to the work of social services, attention, warmth and a humane attitude.
Representatives of the Chasovoy Yar administration regularly visit their fellow countrymen: they bring gifts and delicacies from their native community.
And this is yet another proof: Ukrainians stand side by side even in difficult conditions.
