Kharkiv region expands its partnership: 45 more communities join the project “Shoulder to Shoulder: Cohesive Communities”

A meeting was held in Kharkiv as part of the third wave of the national project “Shoulder to Shoulder: Cohesive Communities.” Representatives of 45 territorial communities of Kharkiv region, together with partner communities from Ternopil, Volyn, Kirovohrad, Poltava, and Kyiv regions, discussed many important issues. Among them were strengthening cooperation, signing new memoranda, and prospects for further development. The focus is on real initiatives: reconstruction, assistance to IDPs, exchange of experience, and development of local cultural, social, and educational projects.

The project is an example of how communities suffering from systemic threats from the aggressor can develop through partnership. Kupiansk already has 12 partners in Ukraine and abroad. Together with them, it implements initiatives for the rehabilitation of children, the integration of displaced persons, and assistance to our defenders. Since the beginning of the year, more than 300 children have participated in camps, cultural, and educational programs in partner communities.

The partner community of the Zmiiv community in the Kharkiv region, the Svitlovodsk community in the Kirovohrad region, shared its experience. After several enemy attacks on the Svitlovodsk community, 48 communities in the region joined in the restoration of critical infrastructure. Such initiatives are shaping a new quality of interregional cooperation and solidarity.

The project “Shoulder to Shoulder: Cohesive Communities” is not only a support for communities in these difficult times, but also an investment in the future. Because every community, even in the most difficult circumstances, deserves a chance to grow, recover, and know that Ukrainians are always there, shoulder to shoulder.
