Ukrainian children visited Warsaw

35 children from two communities, Savynska in Kharkiv region and Boyarka City Council in Kyiv region, which are partners in the project “Shoulder to Shoulder: Cohesive Communities”, as well as Zlatopil City Council in Kharkiv region, returned from an unforgettable trip to the Polish capital Warsaw.

In addition to exciting visits to the Polish Sejm and a number of museums, the children saw how the principles of accessibility and barrier-free design have been appropriately implemented in picturesque and historic places. Here, even buses tilt for the convenience of passengers getting on and off.

The children were impressed by the harmony between city life and wildlife — wild boars roam freely in the parks.

The young Ukrainians also received tickets to the Space Ranch, enjoyed entertainment at Galeria Młociny, participated in scientific experiments at UKSW, took part in a quest on the history of Poland and Ukraine, attended a lecture at a dental center, went bowling, watched movies, and played games at Storyteka.

As a memento of Warsaw, the children received not only positive emotions, but also many gifts and interesting souvenirs.

Children are our future. We thank everyone who makes the childhood of Ukrainians happy and filled with joyful memories and emotions.
