On July 10, the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC2025) kicked off in Rome. This is not just an international event, but a platform for governments, communities, businesses, international organizations, and civil society to unite around a common goal—the recovery of Ukraine.
For the first time at a conference of this scale, thanks to the Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine, the national project “Shoulder to Shoulder: Cohesive Communities” at URC2025 is being presented. Fifty-five communities that already have partnerships and successful cases of cooperation within our project are also participating in the conference. Their presence is a symbol of resilience and a reminder that Ukraine’s recovery continues even during a major war.
Today, “Side by Side: United Communities” is a reliable bridge between Ukrainian communities and European partners, attracting new participants to cooperation.
In Rome, the Side by Side team continues to tell our foreign partners the most important thing: only by supporting each other are we strong. We must stand side by side, and that is why we are here. Meaningful meetings, signings, and new partnerships lie ahead.
