As part of the Shoulder to Shoulder: Cohesive Communities project, the Kyiv region hosted Youth Military-Patriotic Training 2025 for students from the Romny City Council in the Sumy region. From June 25 to 27, nearly 30 young people from Romny visited the Tarashcha community, where they underwent a three-day training program.
The young men and women mastered important basic skills: familiarization with weapons, tactical medicine, terrain orientation, engineering training, and the basics of combat coordination. This is not just training—it is an investment in the future of responsible citizenship.
Tarascha Mayor Mykhailo Kryvosheyev congratulated the young people, presented them with certificates and diplomas, and emphasized that such initiatives strengthen not only skills but also ties between communities.
The event was organized by the Department of Culture, Youth, Sports, and Tourism of the Tarashcha City Council in cooperation with the Youth Innovation Center youth space, with the support of the Youth and Sports Department of the Kyiv Regional State Administration and the Kyiv Regional Youth Center.
“Shoulder to Shoulder: Cohesive Communities” is about trust, support, and the power of our unity. And about the young people who are already embodying it today.
